“Are Jews endowed with humanity?”

 “The Jews hates everyone who is not Jew (…) Jews are enemies of all those who are not, and seek to do them all possible harm. Maybe that was the reason why Hitler wanted to annihilate these damned people.” These quotes were taken from an article published in 1988 in the Portuguese Islamic magazine Al-Furqán, edited by Yiossuf Adamgy.

The article was written by Sheikh Aminuddin Mohamad, at the time spiritual advisor to the Islamic Community of Lisbon (chaired by banker Abdul Karim Vakil). The aforementioned director of Al-Furqán is responsible for organizing the annual Islamic Book Fair, which takes place every year at the Lisbon Mosque (where Sheikh David Munir pontificates).

This fair is an opportunity to buy works of David Duke, an American citizen, neo-Nazi, Holocaust denier, supporter of white supremacy and former leader of Ku-Klux-Klan. David Duke was “National President of the European-American Unity and Right Organization”. David Duke's books for sale at the Islamic Book Fair were published by the same Yiossuf Adamgy, director of Al-Furqán. Example of one of the publications available to the public at this fair: "How Israeli Terrorism and the Betrayal of America Caused the September 11 Attack".

David Duke was also the founder of the "National Association for the Advancement of White People", a racist and anti-Semitic organization. Other works published by David Duke: "The Hoax of the Twentieth Century" and “Did Six Million Really Die?” Several booklets and excerpts from these books were also published by Yiossuf Adamgy and offered for sale at the Islamic Book Fair and at the Lisbon Mosque.

Yiossuf Adamgy has on his CV the "Insignia of Saudi Arabia", awarded (in 1997) by the first Ambassador of Saudi Arabia to Portugal, Dr. Waheeb M. Al-Suhly, as "recognition of his enormous efforts at the service of Muslims, both in Portugal and in other Portuguese-speaking countries; for his defense in favor of Islamic Themes; for his constancy in presenting Islam in its pure and correct form and, finally, for his contribution to the enrichment of Islamic Thought and Culture".
