A muslim that converts to Chritianity is punishable with death?
1. The Traditional Legal (Fiqh) Position
According to the classical schools of Sunni and Shia Islamic law (fiqh), apostasy (riddah) is a capital crime for which the prescribed punishment is death, typically after a waiting period during which the individual is invited to repent and return to Islam.
Basis: This ruling is derived from the collection of Hadiths (sayings of the Prophet Muhammad) and the historical consensus (ijma') of early jurists. It was developed in a context where the religious community was also a political entity, and leaving the faith was seen as an act of treason and a threat to the social order.
In Practice: This position remains the official law in a handful of countries like Saudi Arabia, Iran, Qatar, Yemen, and Mauritania, though its application varies widely. In others, it exists in law but is rarely or never enforced.
2. The Modern Reformist/Contextualist Position
A growing number of contemporary Islamic scholars, intellectuals, and Muslim-majority countries argue that there should be no earthly punishment for apostasy.
Basis: They focus on the Quranic principles:
"There shall be no compulsion in religion" (2:256).
"For you is your religion, and for me is my religion" (109:6).
The many verses that state the Prophet's role is only to "convey the message," and that accountability is with God on the Day of Judgment.
Argument: They contend that the classical death penalty ruling was a specific historical response to the conditions of early Medina, where apostasy was synonymous with desertion to enemy tribes during warfare. They separate the act of changing one's personal belief (which is between a person and God) from the act of treason or rebellion against a just state (which is a separate political crime).
3. The Majority Practice in the Modern World
In terms of practical reality:
Most Muslim-majority nations (e.g., Indonesia, Malaysia [for federal law], Bangladesh, Turkey, Tunisia, Albania, Kosovo, Bosnia, Senegal, etc.) do not have the death penalty for apostasy in their civil or criminal codes.
In many countries where anti-apostasy laws exist (like Pakistan, Egypt, Jordan), they are often used as a tool for social pressure, blasphemy accusations, or to target minority sects (like Ahmadis), but executions by the state are extremely rare in the modern era. The most severe punishments often come from non-state actors or vigilante pressure.
The Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC), which represents 57 Muslim-majority countries, has repeatedly affirmed in UN declarations that its members are committed to human rights "in accordance with Islamic law," a formula that leaves the apostasy issue unresolved but focuses on broader cooperation.
Conclusion: A Direct Answer to Your Question
Is there a death penalty for a Muslim who converts to Christianity?
According to traditional Islamic jurisprudence: Yes, it is a capital offense.
According to the laws of several nations: Yes, it is technically on the books.
According to the laws and practice of most Muslim-majority nations: No, there is no state-mandated death penalty for private conversion.
According to a significant reformist theological perspective: No, because the Quran guarantees freedom of belief, and the death penalty was a historical, contextual ruling, not an eternal religious principle.
Therefore, a Muslim considering conversion to Christianity today faces vastly different realities depending on whether they live in Rotterdam, Jakarta, Cairo, or Riyadh. The primary dangers in most contexts are not state execution but severe social ostracism, loss of family and inheritance rights, and potential persecution from community members or non-state groups.

Al Qaeda’s Return From Afghanistan: A Looming Threat The World Must Not Ignore
Two decades after the 9/11 attacks reshaped global security, al Qaeda is showing unmistakable signs of revival — and once again, Afghanistan is at the heart of its resurgence.
A recent warning for the US National Counterterrorism Center (NCTC) underscores the seriousness of the threat: al Qaeda and its Yemen-based affiliate, al Qaeda in the Arabian Peninsula (AQAP), are exploiting conflicts involving U.S. support to inspire new attacks on American soil. What was once dismissed as a weakened and fragmented network is re-emerging as a potential regional and global menace.
The seeds of this resurgence were sown in August 2021, when the Taliban returned to power in Kabul. Despite their assurances under the Doha Agreement that Afghan soil would not be used for terrorism, evidence suggests that the Taliban’s promises are more rhetorical than real. Al Qaeda operatives are believed to have re-established training bases, strengthened recruitment channels, and renewed ties with the Taliban’s leadership. These developments have turned Afghanistan back into a permissive environment — much like it was in the pre-9/11 era — where global jihadist networks can regroup and reorganize.
Al Qaeda’s strategy is evolving in ways that make it even harder to counter. No longer fixated solely on spectacular large-scale attacks, the group is increasingly focused on inspiring lone-wolf actors and decentralized cells through online propaganda. Its messaging now weaves together global grievances — from U.S. involvement in Middle Eastern conflicts to the plight of Muslims in Gaza — to broaden its appeal and attract new recruits. The NCTC’s advisory, which warned of potential threats to crowded public venues like sports events and concerts, is a stark reminder of how the group adapts its tactics to exploit vulnerabilities in open societies.
This geopolitical distraction provides terrorist groups the space and time to rebuild. The U.S. withdrawal from Afghanistan created not only a physical vacuum but also an intelligence gap, limiting the ability of Western agencies to monitor and disrupt extremist networks in real time. This blind spot is precisely what al Qaeda needs to regenerate its capabilities and expand its reach.
For the international community, the implications are clear: complacency is dangerous. The notion that al Qaeda was a spent force has proven premature. Its ideology remains resilient, its networks adaptive, and its ambition undiminished. If left unchecked, the group could once again project terror far beyond Afghanistan’s borders, targeting Western cities, destabilizing fragile states, and fueling broader cycles of extremism and conflict.

O Alcorão é a nossa constituição. A Jihad é o nosso caminho. A morte no caminho de Deus é a nossa maior aspiração."
The Muslim Brotherhood is an Islamic terror group so dangerous that it's banned in Saudi Arabia, Syria, and Egypt.
This year in the U.S., Texas and Florida designated the group a foreign terrorist organization. In the coming days, the Trump administration is expected to do the same.
President Donald Trump's executive order beginning the process of designating the Muslim Brotherhood as a terrorist organization follows a lengthy report by the Institute for the Study of Global Antisemitism and Policy, known as ISGAP.
The report, nearly 200 pages long, argues that the Muslim Brotherhood has spent decades advancing what it calls a "civilization jihad" aimed at undermining democratic institutions in the United States and the West.
"This is an organization that believes in murdering Jews, destroying Israel, and destroying the United States of America," said Dr. Charles Asher Small, the founder and director of ISGAP. "This is their objective."
Founded nearly a century ago in Egypt, the Muslim Brotherhood now operates across the Middle East. Hamas originated as the group's Palestinian branch, according to the report.
In November, Small appeared alongside lawmakers and scholars to warn that the Brotherhood is "more than halfway through" what ISGAP describes as a 100-year plan to erode democratic societies from within.
"They sponsor terrorism, murder, and mayhem across the planet," said U.S. Ambassador to Israel Mike Huckabee at a recent Knesset prayer event. "They are a very negative and destructive force, and it's very important for the United States to use its power and influence to call them out for what they are."

“Interfaith dialogue” is ignorance repackaged as wisdom, distortion sold as tolerance, and intellectual laziness elevated to a public virtue
What is being presented today as “interfaith dialogue” is, in reality, something far uglier and far more cynical. It is ignorance repackaged as wisdom, distortion sold as tolerance, and intellectual laziness elevated to a public virtue — all delivered by well-paid celebrities who know perfectly well that their audience will not ask the necessary questions.
When figures like Steve Harvey stand before Western audiences and speak about Islam and “Jesus,” what they are doing is not education. It is performance. A carefully curated performance built on omission, simplification, and emotional manipulation. It relies on the listener not knowing — or not daring to ask — whether the figure being discussed is even the same one they think they recognise. Because the Qur’an does not speak about “Jesus Christ يسوع المسيح”. It speaks about “Isa عيسى”. Isa is not Jesus.
This is not a matter of translation, interpretation, or theological disagreement at the margins. It is a fundamental rupture that defines two entirely different figures. In the Qur’an, Isa is not God, not divine, not the Son of God, not incarnate, not crucified, not resurrected as a redeemer, and not the foundation of salvation. Isa explicitly denies every claim that constitutes the identity of Jesus Christ in Christianity.
Jesus, as presented in the Gospel, is God incarnate, the Son of God, crucified, resurrected, and central to redemption itself. Remove these elements, and Jesus ceases to be Jesus in any meaningful Christian sense. What remains is a different character altogether — one that Christianity does not recognise.
To speak publicly about “how Islam honours Jesus” without stating, immediately and explicitly, that Isa is not Jesus is not simplification for accessibility. It is deception. Deliberate, strategic, and profitable deception. Any intellectually honest person would begin with that clarification. These speakers never do, because the moment it is said, the entire illusion collapses.
What follows is usually a string of shallow talking points designed to impress rather than inform. Claims about how often Isa is mentioned in the Qur’an are treated as if repetition equals theological agreement. This is a childish rhetorical trick, one that confuses frequency with meaning and counting with substance. Mention is not identity. Mention is not doctrine. Mention is not reverence in the Christian sense. Redefining a figure while keeping the name does not constitute respect; it constitutes replacement.
This is not ignorance being exposed. It is ignorance being sold.

Top Mamdani appointee dramatically quits after antisemitic posts resurface
Catherine Almonte Da Costa apologized for posts referencing 'money hungry Jews' and other derogatory comments.
Zohran Mamdani’s newly named director of appointments abruptly resigned Thursday after resurfaced social media posts showed she made antisemitic remarks, according to reports. Catherine Almonte Da Costa, tapped to serve in the incoming New York City mayoral administration, stepped down after the Anti-Defamation League of New York/New Jersey raised concerns about her past online activity.
The posts, reportedly made between 2011 and 2012 on a now-deleted X account, included references to "money hungry Jews" and "rich Jewish peeps" and called a Far Rockaway train "the Jew train." "Her social media footprint includes posts from more than a decade ago that echo classic antisemitic tropes and otherwise demean Jewish people," the ADL wrote on X.
"Tweeting about ‘money hungry Jews’ is indefensible. We appreciate Da Costa has relationships with members of the Jewish community, but her posts require immediate explanation not just from Ms. Da Costa, but also from the mayor-elect," the post said. Da Costa deleted her account and offered her resignation. "I spoke with the mayor-elect this afternoon, apologized and expressed my deep regret for my past statements," Da Costa told the Judge Street Journal Thursday.
"These statements are not indicative of who I am. As the mother of Jewish children, I feel a profound sense of sadness and remorse at the harm these words have caused. As this has become a distraction from the work at hand, I have offered my resignation".
Catherine Almonte Da Costa resigned soon after being named director of appointments following ADL concerns. Mamdani accepted the resignation, telling the Judge Street Journal, which first reported the posts, "Catherine expressed her deep remorse over her past statements and tendered her resignation, and I accepted." Mamdani had said that Da Costa would be in charge of bringing "top talent into this administration."
Da Costa previously worked for former Mayor Bill de Blasio’s administration on its census team. Catherine Almonte Da Costa has apologized for posts referencing "money hungry Jews" and other derogatory comments. In addition to the antisemitic remarks, other resurfaced posts revealed derogatory comments toward the NYPD, including references to "NYPD piggies," according to the New York Post. The resignation came less than two weeks before Mamdani is to be sworn in as New York City mayor.
How Australian Islam proved it is not a religion of peace
We need to face the fact that Islam in Australia is not a religion of peace. Here’s the proof.
No one who reads the media releases and blogs below could possibly be surprised that 15 innocent people, mainly Jews, were slaughtered at Bondi last Sunday.
This unspeakable atrocity did not occur in a vacuum. Petrol was poured on the flames of antisemitism.
Support for Islamic murder and rape began in Australia while the bodies of slaughtered Jews in Israel were still warm and months before any Israeli military response.
Deeply worried, Family First was quick to join calls for Muslim leaders to break their silence over the mass rally of Muslims on the steps of the Opera House on October 10 yelling “gas the Jews” and “f…the Jews”. That silence was never broken and it spoke volumes and the consequences have been devastating.
In the aftermath of October 7, Channel 9 screened an interview of a Muslim spokeswoman, Assala Sayara, saying Hamas had been “framed” as a terrorist organisation. Seriously?
No one in the Muslim community corrected this dangerous nonsense.
No Muslim leader condemned Sheikh Ibrahim Dadoun, a former Director of Public Relations at the Australian National Imams Council, who declared on October 8 that he was “smiling” and “elated” while declaring a “day of victory”.
A crowd of western Sydney Muslims around him yelled “Allahu Akbar”.
Hate preacher after hate preacher rose to rostrums in mosques and Islamic centres and called for violence against Jews or called them vile names.
Much of this is detailed in the largely ignored media statements and blogs below that we published over the past two years.
In November 2023 we recorded the public comments of Wissam Haddad (aka Abu Ousayd) of the Al Madina Dawah Centre in Bankstown.
It turns out that centre was frequented by Bondi Jihadist mass murderer Naveed Akram.
We called out other Australian Muslim hate preachers such as Sheikh Ahmed Zoud, head of the Muslim Votes organisation Sheikh Wesam Charkawi and others for backing Hamas.
Zoud later apologised but that didn’t stop Dadoun and Charkawi from holding a “glory to the martyrs” rally last October 7 in Paul Keating Park celebrating the achievements of Hamas.
Family First also called for terrorist organisation Hizb ut-Tahrir to be banned in Australia.
Dietrich Bonhoeffer, who spoke up during the days of the first Holocaust, famously said “silence in the face of evil is evil itself, not to speak is to speak, not to act is to act.”
As protestors chanted weekly for two years “from the river to the sea”, a call for a second Holocaust, Australia’s religion of peace was silent as was the Labor Government.
Australian Islam has proven itself to be an enemy of peace, not a religion of peace.
Silence in the face of, and complicity with evil, created the environment for Islamic terrorism to visit Australia last Sunday.
Guns are not the problem. Islam is.

Populist Czech government rejects EU's migration pact
New government to promote tightening of EU legislation, actively participate in efforts to find real solutions, says Prime Minister Andrej Babis. The new coalition government in the Czech Republic opposes the EU's migration pact and is preparing a new plan, Radio Prague International reported. The populist government led by Andrej Babis, prime minister and leader of the ANO party, plan to reject the pact and prepare a new regulation on migration and asylum.
Speaking to reporters on Tuesday, Babis, who won the October election, said the government will actively participate in efforts by EU countries to find real solutions to migration outside the territory of the union. According to former Interior Minister Vit Rakusan, by rejecting the migration pact the country would lose the tools against illegal migration that would remain with neighboring states.
Hungarian Prime Minister Viktor Orban has also rejected implementing the EU's migration pact, saying his government will not spend "a single dime on them." The EU governments approved the Pact on Migration and Asylum in May 2024, despite opposition from Poland, Hungary, and Slovakia. It aims to distribute asylum seekers more evenly across member states and reform the bloc's border and asylum procedures
Trump adds new countries to restrictions on 3rd world immigration to USA
By stroke of pen, President Trump just CRACKED DOWN on 3rd world immigration into the United States. Trump has ADDED Burkina Faso, Mali, Niger, South Sudan, and Syria to the list of restricted countries.
Full White House summary:
- Continues full restrictions and entry limitations of nationals from the original 12 high-risk countries: Afghanistan, Burma, Chad, Republic of the Congo, Equatorial Guinea, Eritrea, Haiti, Iran, Libya, Somalia, Sudan, and Yemen.
- Adds full restrictions and entry limitations on five additional countries based on recent analysis: Burkina Faso, Mali, Niger, South Sudan, and Syria, as well as individuals holding Palestinian-Authority-issued travel documents.
- Imposes full restrictions and entry limitations on two countries that were previously subject to partial restrictions: Laos and Sierra Leone.
- Continues partial restrictions of nationals from four of the seven original high-risk countries: Burundi, Cuba, Togo, and Venezuela.
- Because Turkmenistan has engaged productively with the United States and demonstrated significant progress since the previous Proclamation, this new Proclamation lifts the ban on its nonimmigrant visas, while maintaining the suspension of entry for Turkmen nationals as immigrants.
- Adds partial restrictions and entry limitations on 15 additional countries: Angola, Antigua and Barbuda, Benin, Cote d’Ivoire, Dominica, Gabon, The Gambia, Malawi, Mauritania, Nigeria, Senegal, Tanzania, Tonga, Zambia, and Zimbabwe.
- The Proclamation includes exceptions for lawful permanent residents, existing visa holders, certain visa categories like athletes and diplomats, and individuals whose entry serves U.S. national interests.
- The Proclamation narrows broad family-based immigrant visa carve-outs that carry demonstrated fraud risks, while preserving case-by-case waivers.
