Official reports from the Ministry of Justice and Statistics Denmark show that while crime in Denmark is predominantly committed by native-born Danish citizens, foreign-born individuals—particularly from non-Western backgrounds—are disproportionately represented in rape and violent crime statistics relative to their population size

General Statistics: Data indicates that overall crime is overwhelmingly committed by those of Danish origin, who account for roughly \(80\%\) of total convictions. Foreigners with legal residence account for roughly \(18\%\) of criminal offenses.

Rape and Violence Overrepresentation: According to Ministry of Justice data, non-Western immigrants and their descendants represent approximately \(10.6\%\) of the total Danish population. However, this demographic accounts for about \(29.6\%\) of aggravated violence crimes and \(32.4\%\) of rape convictions.
