Pakistani Teen With A Documented History Of Violence Fatally Stabbed A 15 Year Old Boy

Pakistani Teen With A Documented History Of Violence, Weapon Obsession, Gang Concerns, And More Than 130 School Behavioral Incidents Was Still Allowed Into School Without Being Properly Searched Or Monitored — Then He Fatally Stabbed A 15 Year Old Boy In Front Of Horrified Students In Sheffield. How Many Warning Signs Were Ignored Before A Child Lost His Life?
On February 3, 2025, 15-year-old Harvey Willgoose was stabbed to death during lunch break at All Saints Catholic High School in Sheffield, England.
The killer was fellow student Mohammed Umar Khan, also 15 years old and a former friend of Harvey.

According to prosecutors, the attack followed days of escalating hostility and threats exchanged on social media.
But what stunned many people after the murder was the sheer number of warning signs surrounding Khan long before the attack ever happened.

Independent reviews and court evidence later revealed:
• Khan had more than 130 documented behavioral incidents tied to violence, weapons, gang concerns, and severe anger issues at his previous school
• He had previously assaulted another student before transferring schools
• Students had reported him carrying knives and a BB gun months before the murder
• An axe was discovered inside his backpack in December 2024
• Staff failed to properly obtain or review his full safeguarding and behavioral records after his school transfer
• On the very day of the stabbing, Khan was allowed onto campus without being searched despite active knife-related concerns

On the afternoon of February 3, Khan confronted Harvey in the school courtyard carrying a 13-centimeter serrated hunting knife.
Witnesses said Harvey remained calm and tried to avoid conflict.
Khan then stabbed him twice in the chest in front of dozens of terrified students.
One of the wounds pierced Harvey’s heart.

He collapsed within moments and died at the scene despite emergency medical efforts. During the trial, prosecutors showed that Khan had a disturbing fascination with weapons, frequently searched for violent knives online, and posed for photographs holding blades.

The jury rejected his claim that he had simply “snapped” due to bullying.
In October 2025, Mohammed Umar Khan was sentenced to life in prison with a minimum term of 16 years.
Following the case, the UK government formally intervened against the school trust overseeing All Saints Catholic High School, citing major safeguarding and communication failures.

Now many people continue asking:
If schools, police, and safeguarding systems already knew about repeated violence, weapon possession, gang concerns, and knife warnings, how was a teenager still able to walk into school armed with a hunting knife and kill another child
