ANTI-COP ACTIVIST NAMED NYC SHERIFF BY RADICAL DEMOCRAT — POLICE HATERS NOW RUNNING THE SHOW

Zohran Mamdani has appointed Edwin Raymond, a vocal anti-police moonbat, as New York City’s new sheriff. Raymond has spent years comparing American police to slave patrols from the 1800s. In his own words: “Slave patrols were basically militias whose job was to catch runaway slaves. And after the Civil War, many of them literally just rolled over into police departments.”

He doubled down in his 2023 book “An Inconvenient Cop,” writing that “today’s police force is the kin of the slave patrols of the nineteenth century and the Black Codes of the Jim Crow South.”
Raymond sued the NYPD in 2015 along with other officers, accusing supervisors of enforcing arrest quotas on people of color. The case was dismissed but remains under appeal. In 2017, he faced an internal probe for allegedly giving a domestic violence suspect a pass because he was Black.

He has also pushed the narrative that Eric Garner’s death was proof of “systemic racism” in policing.
This is what happens when far-left Democrats take full control. They install activists who despise law enforcement into positions of power, putting criminals first and citizens last. New Yorkers can expect more chaos, fewer arrests, and rising crime as the sheriff’s office turns into another arm of the defund-the-police movement.
