The Muslim Council of Britain’s New Leadership

 

Wajid Akhter, has expressed views against the integration of Muslims into Britain

This month, the Muslim Council of Britain, which says it is “the country’s most diverse and democratic Muslim umbrella body,” will elect a new Secretary-General, or leader. 

As this note reveals, the likely frontrunner, (Mohammed) Wajid Akhter, has expressed views which appear ominous for the integration of Muslims into Britain. 

The other candidate, Muhammad Adrees, has strongly supported the dictatorial regime in Iran. Both men are also linked to The Muslim Vote, a campaign to mobilise Muslim voters against Labour, which played a part in the defeat of four sitting Labour MPs at the election. Akhter was a spokesman for The Muslim Vote.
